Most clients choose a chemical peel to help with fine lines, uneven pigmentation, mild acne, and even acne scars. When done in a series, peels can also be used to minimize the effect of deep facial wrinkles and improve uneven skin tone caused by sun damage or aging.

At Youtherapy, each of our peel treatments begin with a personal consultation with one of our experienced estheticians. From this evaluation and discussing your current skin concerns, we will determine your suitability for a specific chemical peel or a combination of treatments. We will recommend a customized treatment plan based on your skin type, skin condition, age, health, skin laxity, and your personal cosmetic goals.
You may not be a candidate for a chemical peel if you have:
• A history of abnormal or severe skin scarring
• A naturally dark complexion or skin tone
• A tendency to have extra pigmentation of your scars
• Used certain acne treatments prior to your peel, such as Retin-A or Hydroquinone
• Skin conditions or medications that make the skin more sensitive than normal
• No intention to use sun protection, as a chemical peel will make the skin more susceptible to hyperpigmentation when not protected with SPF

Level 1 – Vitalize Peel
SkinMedica’s Vitalize Peel is one of the most popular chemical peels at Youtherapy Medspa because it is gentler on the skin than traditional chemical peels. Don’t be fooled – it still provides a great exfoliation and physically peels the skin. With a combination of Alpha-Hydroxy Acid, Beta-Hydroxy Acid, Resorcinol Acid, and Retinoic Acid, the Vitalize Peel provides a unique mix of ingredients that is a powerful yet non-damaging peel that can take years off aging skin. This is the perfect peel for patients with mild to moderate skin conditions including fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, pigment irregularities, and acne. You will see noticeable results after one peel; significant results after 3 to 6 peels. Treatments can be repeated every 3-4 weeks until desired results are reached.

Level 2 – Rejuvenize Peel
SkinMedica’s Rejuvenize Peel is our strongest peel. It penetrates into the epidermis using a combination of strong but safe acids specifically formulated for the deepest exfoliation.
