Microdermabrasion

So, what are YOU doing for lunch? How about getting a makeover?

Microdermabrasion, one of the most popular exfoliating techniques, is often referred to as the “Lunch Break Special.” Why? Because this convenient procedure lasts about a half hour, requires no down time afterwards, and gives you great looking skin!

How does microdermabrasion work?

The skilled technicians at Youtherapy specialize in the state-of-the-art microdermabrasion techniques, using tools to remove the outer, most upper-layer of skin. The body responds by replacing the lost skin with fresh new skin cells, increasing collagen production. By sloughing off dull, dead surface layers of skin, the procedure stimulates lymph flow and blood flow, increasing nutrients to the skin cells.

After treatment, our technician may lightly massage your fresh, new skin with a hydrating moisturizer that will leave your skin bright and glowing. Once done, you are free to go about your daily routine as soon as you have finished.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MICRODERMABRASION?

  • Improved elasticity
  • Evens out skin tones
  • Reduces age spots
  • Enhanced circulation
  • Reduces appearance of pigmentation
  • Brightens complexion with a healthy glow
  • Reduces fine lines
  • Reduces clogged pores and pore size
  • Reduces mild acne scarring

WHAT ARE THE 2 MAIN TYPES OF MICRODERMABRASION?

Crystal Microdermabrasion: Crystals made from non-toxic aluminum oxide or organic sodium bicarbonate are delivered through a wand to the surface of the skin, exfoliating dead skin cells and polishing the skin. The material is then suctioned off simultaneously using the same handpiece.

Diamond Microdermabrasion: Diamond-tip microdermabrasion is a newer procedure, but one that quickly gained popularity as a crystal-free microdermabrasion option.
