No chemicals or laser beams are used, only aluminum oxide micro crystals that gently sandblasts your skin, leaving it smooth and fresh. The major difference is in the devices used. Dermaplaning includes using an exfoliating blade on a metal handle – this removes dead skin manually and also has the added benefit of getting rid of peach fuzz. Microdermabrasion is done with a small electric device that pushes exfoliating factors onto the skin while it vacuums debris at the same time. This exposes a new layer of skin and cleans the pores.
